Contest Date:

Entry opens around October 1, 2025, first regional deadlines start December 1, 2025, extending through early January 2026. National winners are announced in March, with ceremonies in June.

Established in 1923, this prestigious program recognizes creativity in art and writing across 28 categories. Entries are judged regionally for awards like Honorable Mention, Silver Key, and Gold Key. Gold Key works advance to the national level for potential medal recognition, scholarship awards (up to $12,500), exhibitions, publications, and national ceremonies in New York City. Judging values originality, technical skill, and personal voice. Fee waivers are available to ensure accessibility.
