Participants submit an A3‑sized design document that includes colored sketches (front and other view), a technical scaled drawing, material swatch and color story—designing a bag using genuine leather as the main material. No name or affiliation should appear on the entry to maintain impartial judging. Finalists are selected by a panel and invited to attend the final judging ceremony (hosted at Fashion Access in Hong Kong or Dubai depending on the year). Prizes include a USD 500 cash award for each finalist, a 4‑week accessories design course at Arsutoria School in Milan valued at approximately €4,500 (plus accommodation allowance), editorial exposure on APLF and Leather Naturally platforms, and a trip sponsored to the Fashion Access fair.
