Eligibility:
Open to U.S. students in grades K–12 (approximately ages 5–18), including homeschooled students and children of U.S. service members abroad

Students design a creative version of the Google logo (a “doodle”) based on that year’s theme and submit it along with a short artist statement. Entries are judged at the state/territory level, then national finalist and national winner are selected. The national winner’s doodle appears on the Google.com homepage for a day, and prizes include a college scholarship (up to $30,000–$55,000 depending on year), tech grants for the student’s school, and hardware for finalists and state winners
