The Envirothon is an annual environmental science competition for high school students across North America. Teams compete at local, regional, and state/provincial levels in five core areas—aquatic ecology, forestry, soils and land use, wildlife, and a current environmental issue—through both field tests and oral presentations. Top teams advance to the North American competition, which includes educational workshops, presentations, field trips, and awards. Participation promotes environmental literacy, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills
