This competition invites high‑school researchers to submit an original, independent neuroscience project focused on brain or nervous system topics (psychology or behavior research is generally discouraged). Judging emphasizes scientific rigor, creativity, and relevance to neuroscience. Winners receive a $1,000 award and a chance to present their work at the AAN Annual Meeting in a poster session; one top winner also presents at the Child Neurology Society meeting and receives travel and lodging support.
