Eligibility:
K–12 students who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents and reside in U.S. states, territories, or tribal lands; project must be sponsored by an adult aged 21+ (teacher or other)
The PEYA program honors exceptional environmental stewardship projects developed by K–12 youth—individually or as a group—across a wide range of topics such as sustainability, water quality, recycling, and STEM‐based environmental education. Regional winners are selected in two age groups (Grades K–5 and 6–12), receive recognition from the EPA and President, and their local educational agencies may be awarded funding to further environmental programming
