Eligibility:
Individuals in grades 5–12 as of November 1, U.S. residents or Washington, D.C.; must have completed a volunteer activity within the previous 12 months; individuals only (no groups)

This is the U.S.’s largest youth recognition program based solely on volunteer service. It honors middle school and high school students who have made meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteerism over the past year. State winners receive $1,000 and a medallion; national winners receive $5,000, gold medallions, and an all-expenses-paid recognition trip. The program has evolved into Prudential Emerging Visionaries, spotlighting changemakers aged 14–18, with awards up to $15,000 and a summit in Newark, NJ for national honorees.
